Grand Haven Croquet Club

Membership - How to get involved & free instruction

From its inception, the Grand Haven Croquet Club has grown from the original six members to over 95 members. We believe that one of the key reasons our Club has grown so quickly is the user-friendly system we have in place for beginners to learn the basics of the game.  Those interested in joining the Club are given the opportunity to take four free lessons, given by the Club's experienced, qualified instructors.  Mallets are furnished for the initial lessons.  Upon completion of the four lessons, the beginners are invited to join the Club and purchase their own mallets.  All members joining the Grand Haven Croquet Club are also required to join the USCA.  Once a member, there are opportunities for further instruction including classes, clinics, coached games and tournament play.

Sneakers or flat-soled shoes are required to be worn to protect the greens. White clothing is required for clinics and all events. The game of "Golf Croquet" is played at the Creekside Athletic Center on Thursdays. It is a simple version of croquet that anyone can play and enjoy. On Thursday cocktails and dinner round out the evening.

Annual membership costs include membership in the United States Croquet Association.

        SINGLE: $95 (GHCC 35.00 + USCA 60.00)

        COUPLE: $147 (GHCC 57.00 + USCA 90.00)
